Description & Specs
- Convertible design is fantastic for helping children master the fundamentals of balance, handling and pedaling all on the same bike;
- In compliance with Standards: EN 14765, ASTM F963, CPSC-1512, 2005/84/EC and EN 71-1\2\3 Azo Dye;
- Sturdy steel or aluminum frame features a unique design and a convertible concept — it starts out as a balance bike, and with an easy process, the bike converts into a single-speed pedal bike;
- Removable pedal system includes a chain guard to protect young ones and their clothing;
- Turning limiters feature prevents the front wheel from making sharp turns and in the event of a fall prevents the handlebar from injuring a child’s face, neck or chest. It also prevents the break cable from becoming twisted;
- Braking is accomplished in balance mode by simply putting feet down and/or using the hand-operated front brake; in pedal mode, a coaster brake is employed by backpedalling. The coaster brake also allows the bicycle to move forward without requiring the pedals to turn;
- Handlebar, seat and frame (with its trial slot) can be adjusted to fit a rider as he or she grows, or can be used by children of different ages; seat adjusts from 40 to 53 cm (15.75 to 20.75 in.);
- Plush horse toy attaches to handlebar as a fun companion and doubles as light padding protection;
- Beefy pneumatic rubber tires inflate to 40psi, although they perform best between 20-25 psi making rough and bumpy paths comfortable for the rider;
- 12” wheels supported by 16 tangentially spaced spokes;
- Recommended for ages 21/2 to 5 years;
- Weight without pedal system is 12 lbs, and with is 15 lbs;
- Available in blue, pink, red and yellow;
- Maximum weight tolerance is 132 lbs;
Note: Children should always wear a helmet. This is the most important safety feature of all.
